Leitmotif

The way matter appears is governed by the sensitive repetition of the gesture. The variations that inevitably and gradually arise during the repetitive process are at the heart of this pictorial research.

While mechanically repeating the same gesture, the artist questions what still separates us from a mere machine and, by extension, wonders what role sensitivity plays in our otherwise intelligent creations. What seems easy conceals a thousand and one treasures of uncertainty for those who take the time to look.
